Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
Opened in 1875 by Bishop Peter Crinnon, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is the Diocese of Hamilton’s best known cemetery. It is the resting place of many of the Diocese’s bishops, priests, and religious sisters, along with a number of prominent figures from Hamilton’s history. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is also the site of The Catholic Cemeteries’ main office.
The first Catholic mausoleum in the Diocese of Hamilton, Holy Souls, was opened in 1979, followed by Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum in 1988.
Reception Facilities
Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum offers a facility on the second floor overlooking the main chapel that can accommodate a maximum of 75 people. This room provides a convenient place for family and friends to gather in fellowship following an interment. Families are responsible for arranging their own catering, which is restricted to “finger foods” (sandwiches, relish trays, desserts) and beverages (coffee/tea, soft drinks, etc.) Alcohol is not permitted in our facility. Please contact the office for further information.

Our family counselors and cemeterians do not work on commission and have no vested interest in what you purchase. Learn more about planning without pressure.

The Catholic Church believes that cremated human remains must be afforded the same respect as the non-cremated body, and placed in a dignified container. In keeping with this belief, we offer a variety of cremation urns for purchase.
