Life Stories

Father

Born: November 9, 1941
Died: September 13, 2020 in Hamilton
Interred: Resurrection, Ancaster

Oscar Suva was a dearly beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. Although he struggled with many chronic health issues over several years, my dad proved to be a resilient man who would do anything to be with his family and make the most of the life he was given. He has left a legacy of enduring faith in God, love, kindness, wisdom, generosity and commitment to his loved ones. His love and legacy will live on in his wife, children and grandchildren. In his last weeks of life, he told my sister that he wanted to give himself fully to the Lord. Although he could not continue to do more of this on earth (as he thought he would), he did touch many new people through his most recent hospitalizations and death. Those who saw us knew of our commitment to faith, daily prayer, advocacy for those in need and love of family. I hope that this has left a positive and enduring impression on those who witnessed us. Daddy, we love you and miss you so much but we know that you are now in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. You are happy, no longer suffering and are able to move your body as you wish now. In my heart I know that you were welcomed in Eternity by so many loved ones who had passed on before you.
